Well, Nancy and I decided to ride in this event today. We talked about it earlier in the week, but didn't sign up until last minute, since there was a pretty good chance we'd have an additional family member at this point.
As that was not the case... on a steel horse we rode. Actually aluminum is more likely, but whatever ;-)
We had a very enjoyable, 24-mile ride. The weather was beautiful and the event was well-run, but that's not the best part. They had a raffle during the finish line festivities. Started off with a bunch of logo'ed swag, but the final raffle was for four new bikes. Nancy and I were joking around about winning, since I had won a tennis racquet at different event. So, we almost burst out laughing when Nancy's name was called out for the third bike! I'll try and post a pic of it below.

Hopefully this was a good omen and means that we'll be lucky with everything upcoming ;-)

Congrats on the bike guys! I'm surprised we didn't see you on the trails. We decided that morning to go on a bike ride and ended up "tagging along" with the Trail Trekkers. The weather was amazing!
